That's Still Around?

While looking up bus schedule information on sdcommute.com, imagine my surprise to notice the "Threat Advisory" notice in the left navigation panel. Does America still do this? It was a huge thing back in 2002, but I haven't heard much of this since. I remember a Whoopi episode where the main comedic topic was the ever-changing threat level. There was a time period where there were daily annoucements as paraphrased here: "I don't know who, I don't know where, I don't know when, but soon, somewhere, somehow, something is gonna happen."
