This just burns me up!
The board instituted the ban in 1999, saying children should be in traditional two-parent homes because they would be more likely to thrive.
Most fucked up single parent homes originate from the two-parent model, so the article's point is ridiculous. Do they have statistics or case studies to back up their claims? The Right always cries "this only makes the children suffer" yet clearly it's the children who are suffering when good homes are available yet they are set adrift in the foster care system.
I am so thankful that my last permanent placement in foster care was a stable environment, where I didn't have to worry about cockroaches burrowing in my ears.
Yay! More state-sanctioned hate.
